    The main highway through Arcata. Spanning north and south, it also allows bicycles, curiously enough. A few weekends ago, I rode it from here to Fortuna, CA. Very often, it's safer than local roads (the shoulders are wider). Careful though, cars go fast here!

    Wiliam McKinley was a war criminal and perpetrator of genocide. The statue was on it's way to McKinleyville around the turn of the century but didn't make it and was left in Arcata instead.
